What is the weather like in Canyonville? Nestled below Canyon Mountain, Canyonville has cool winters but with little freezing and rare snowfalls seen on the valley floor. Most of the rainfall from the winter brings blossom-filled springs. In April and May, it begins to continuously warm until July and August when temperatures warm into the nineties and sometimes cap over into the low 100's. Fall is especially pretty with the brilliant leaf colors and an Indian summer by late October.
Does Seven Feathers pay taxes? Yes, Seven Feathers does pay taxes. Over $1.4 million is paid in annual payroll taxes. Seven Feathers does not pay property tax because a sovereign government owns the property.

The United State Constitution signed September 17, 1787 Article I, Section 8, clause 3, commonly referred to as the Indian commerce clause. This clause states that "The Congress shall have power to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states and with Indian Tribes."
Article VI, Section 2, states: "This constitution and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof and all treaties made, or shall be made under the authority of the United States shall be the Supreme law of the land, and the Judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of the state of the contrary notwithstanding."
